Mad about stripes

Something told me I should probably finish my Navigator that is currently in progress before I start another, but I guess that something just didn't put up a strong enough case. I thought I was finished but I found some missed (most likely ignored) ends to weave in.

Well, mini has requested a stripey number of her own and since I stalled out on a few knits for her lately, I decided to get right on this one, Navigator No. 2. And though I love the white on black stripes of my initial Navigator, I still long for a nautical representation that a blue on white would clearly be. So there we have it, Navigator No. 3.

~more navigators mean more cotton-ease (l to r): bubble gum, sugar plum, vanilla, and blueberry~

I took notes from a very smart and clever rabbit when it comes to knitting stripes by carrying yarn up the side and it helps when it comes to weaving in those ends. At the moment I'm really loving the blue and white (in desperate need of blocking at the moment) for the nautical look of the pattern pic (which is in navy though my pattern pic looks black). And when it comes to mini's requested color combo, I'm also really liking both sides but I'll be honoring the chosen right side of the pattern when its comes to finishing.

Now carrying the yarn up the sides does help out a lot, but I still have many ends to weave. Mad about stripes...or just plain mad, lol.
