2 down 1 to go

~just a neckline to go~

Now that I'm reaching the end of my visit to the "land o' stripes", I can start to think about another project. Yep, that will mean more cotton-ease. I think I may have a problem, lol.

Jody asked a bit ago if carrying the yarn up the side creates a heavier seam. Well the answer is yes and and a little no (only a little bit at the beginning). It worked wonderfully where I was able to control the tension of the yarn going up the side allowing me to go just that slipped stitch in to seam and not so well (but still not quite really heavy) where I had to go one stitch in to accommodate my lack of control (pulling a bit too tight). Now I definitely prefer the former, but the later beats the socks off of having to weave in all those ends.

And that leaves me time to think about another sweater. Here's hoping that the next one will involve another yarn...maybe.

~any guesses?~

I have no ideas, but I love that grey. So versatile! I recently cast on for the tubular camisole in a similar color.

your love for Cotton Ease is evident. your knitting is so neat and beautiful. perfectly even. is the yarn for your next project Peruvian Highland Wool?

Posted by: lynette at October 5, 2005 02:55 PM

It doesn't look like any of the Cotton-Ease colors, so I'm guessing its All Seasons Cotton?

That looks just like the Phildar Partner that I'm using right this very minute!

I'm thinking that if you hide the ends in the seam, like I do, you get a thick seam anyway, don't you? Carrying the yarn sounds much better.

The tops look great! Is it ASC? Love that yarn.
