March 11, 2005A shark bit my clapotisCan you believe that? Don't think for a minute that if you knit it already you are safe from making a silly mistake the second time around (i guess i should just speak for myself). And the bad thing about it is that I remember that "wrong turn row" and was just yapping it up with some friends and I thought to myself "I'll just see how it goes in a few more rows". But with all this clapotis in my lap as I'm using Manos which is knittin' up a whole lotta clapotis I just forgot all about. I picked it up a few days later forgetting about the "wrong turn row" and just kept on knittin'. Oh well, I know there must be one happy shark around here 'cause we know that clapotis is "all good". You know its something when you know exactly what you were doing, saying and wearing when you make a mistake, but don't know why exactly you didn't stop and correct it just one stitch later. Ugh! Hey, did you catch those stitch markers. If you're not down with sushi there's always cupcakes and fortune cookes! Gotta love Amyville. Amy rocks again. I mean Clapotis requires many stitch markers and I ran outta sushi so I had to get them, right, lol? Posted by froggy at March 11, 2005 03:03 PM Comments
Argh - that would make me so frustrated. At least you have the fun stitch markers to amuse you. Posted by: Amy at March 11, 2005 03:25 PMAmyville is the coolest! I don't have any, but I've oogled her stuff often (her craft stuff that is lol). So are you ripping? Posted by: Vicki at March 11, 2005 03:36 PMOh yeah, I think that I make more mistakes the second time through a project than I do during the first. Posted by: Colleen at March 11, 2005 03:45 PMYup, that sure looks wrong. Rip it. Rip it good! Posted by: claudia at March 11, 2005 03:52 PMI've made the same mistake! Looks like you won't have rip it far. Posted by: margene at March 11, 2005 03:54 PMHi Froggy, Oh my - that's nasty - keep right out of the water in future! Posted by: sally at March 11, 2005 04:33 PMWell you "could" call it a design feature instead of a mistake but it would probably nag at you for the rest of your life :-( Posted by: Joan at March 11, 2005 04:49 PMI saw that same shark last week! Thank god I had a monkey in my bag to scare him away! That green is so pretty...who can resist stitch markers, I mean really. Posted by: Christie at March 11, 2005 04:52 PMone should never have to rip on a friday Posted by: cara at March 11, 2005 05:01 PMThose stitch markers ROCK! I'm off right after this to buy some. And I have to say, although the reason sucks, your title for today's post is excellent! Posted by: chris at March 11, 2005 05:10 PMWell, the good thing is that you don't have a lot of rows to rip. Considerate shark! Have a good weekend! MJ Posted by: MJ at March 11, 2005 05:55 PMThanks for the link to Amyville. Those choclate stitch markers really looked good enought o eat. I don't think I could handle stitching and staring at those! Posted by: stephanie at March 11, 2005 06:03 PMYour poor nipped on clapper! What to do... Posted by: Silvia at March 11, 2005 06:34 PMWell I usually tell myself I can live with it and knit away and then later I decide I can't live with it and then rip...dumb I know and I don't know why I keep doing that. Posted by: Karen at March 11, 2005 06:47 PMoh, i'm sorry! just put on flo while you rip because that is one gorgeous cardi... Posted by: mrspilkington at March 11, 2005 07:53 PMHey Froggy! Love the colour, though, and can't wait to see it in a solid... Posted by: angela at March 12, 2005 11:18 AMUgh, I hate those types of days. Rest assured, we all have them. Good luck! Take care. Posted by: Adele at March 12, 2005 11:41 AMHow frustrating. Not choice but to rip. I am sorry for all that extra work you have to do but the end results worth it! Posted by: Denise at March 12, 2005 02:14 PMSharks, man. They're sneaky critters. Posted by: cari at March 12, 2005 06:33 PMOops! Well, you can just think of it as a desing element...maybe not. At least it's only a few short rows to rip back. Posted by: Jackie at March 13, 2005 07:23 AMOh, ce requin comme il est méchant ! Posted by: Dominique at March 13, 2005 10:45 AMOmigawd!
