January 25, 2005Can't get enough...We've stored knitting needles in it... And now we're wearin' it... earrings and stitch markers and knittin with it! stitch markers on manos I first saw these at super eggplant. Mariko posted about this and I knew it would just be a matter of time before I had to get something. I just love that bracelet. Mini and I have been going back and forth for over a week now with who will be wearing the earrings today (its become a daily routine). So luckily one more pair is on the way. Thanks Amy! We love 'em and can't wait to see the ones in the works. The stitch markers are so fun! And I just noticed the fortune cookies at Amyville. Check 'em out. Hmmm....fortune cookies. Very cool. Umm...do I feel another order coming on? One of my coworkers is completely baffled by my love of sushi. And soon a Fresh Fields (ok, its Whole Foods now, but doesn't roll off my tongue like Fresh Fields) is opening up near our office soon. I usually make my rounds at 12 with "are you lunchin?". But now it will be are you "sushi-in". Ok, doesn't sound right, but I'll be eatin' it anyway. Posted by froggy at January 25, 2005 09:03 AMComments
After seeing all that good stuff, I need to sushi-in' myself. Unagi rolls are my favorite too! Posted by: peth at January 25, 2005 10:07 AMVery pretty and effective though! Posted by: Tracy at January 25, 2005 10:19 AMFantastic Finds! Love those fortune cookies. Posted by: Liz at January 25, 2005 10:30 AMMmmmmmmmm! Sushi! Posted by: Wendy at January 25, 2005 10:56 AMLOL! I love it. We have a sushi thing round our house too. I was so psyched about the kids getting to like it, and then I realized, "hey! I'm going to have to share now!" It's pretty ironic that the girl who freaks if sauce touches her spaghetti will gobble up salmon sushi, but nobody ever said toddlers made sense. :) Hey, mini's a little old for it, but we LOVE this book: http://www.solterrabooks.com/detail.aspx?ID=2240 Actually, I don't think anyone is too old for it. "Miso in my sippy cup, tofu in my bowl. Crab and avacado fill my california roll." and "Ikura, squishy salmon roe like da*bby dots of jelly. Salty on my tongue and yummy in my belly." (Yes, I've memorized it.) My mom thinks it's totally bourgeois, but I think it's hilarious and the kids love it. We also found a sushi place with the boats that go around with the sushi on them (and a train that goes around in back of the boats). We all love going there. Hugs, from your personal librarian, LOL. Cate Posted by: mamacate at January 25, 2005 11:40 AMLove the stitch markers and the earrings. Thanks for the link! I would join you for sushi, anytime. Posted by: Véronique at January 25, 2005 11:56 AMI love those stitch markers too. And I know what you mean by your co-workers being baffled. Everyone wrinkles their nose, or sticks their tongues out in disgust when I mention that I'm going to go grab some sushi for lunch. Oh well... more for me. :) Posted by: Lisa P at January 25, 2005 12:03 PMYay for sushi! DH doesn't eat sushi at all, so I have to plan an outing with my sister or friends. I used to live around the corner from an awesome sushi place and would grab a take-out order once a week when I was home alone. Now I want sushi! I've been eyeing the goods at Amyville, too. It's never so early for a birthday list. Posted by: Melissa at January 25, 2005 12:16 PMWHOLE FOODS!!! Ah one of the grocery stores I miss the most :) I can so see a fight with the mini skuffling over teh earrings :) Posted by: stinkerbell at January 25, 2005 12:18 PMI have to get those earrings for Dani and the stitch holders for me! Oh, I covet, I covet!!! I guess if it's sushi related knitting it will be okay for me to buy...right? Posted by: Christie at January 25, 2005 01:29 PMOK, Froggy, you pushed me over the edge, and I just placed my Amyville order! Posted by: maggi at January 25, 2005 01:45 PMOh, I'm getting me some sushi accessories! Sushi completely rules!! Dang, now I want some... Posted by: Laurie at January 25, 2005 02:03 PMHello Froggy, I love Sushi! The Stitchmarkers look terrific! Unfortunately, it isn't possible to order her for Germany. Too bad! Lovely greez I don't love sushi (only experience was with some baby sushi with just fake crab, rice, and wrap but I didn't like it much), but those are ADORABLE!! I think I need the fortune cookie one as I collect good fortunes. SO FUN!! Posted by: Vicki at January 25, 2005 06:50 PMThis is my first post, I had to comment on the sushi stitch markers. They are fantastic, now I want some, and I just bought beads and made stitch markers this afternoon. I will have to find a way to justify buying the sushi markers too. Thanks for sharing the pictures. Posted by: Emma Hawk at January 25, 2005 08:19 PMI adore Sushi! Unagi happens to be one of my favorites as well. We have a Sushi Bar here in Florida where you get all the Sushi (and other stuff too) you can eat for twenty bucks! Posted by: Stacie at January 25, 2005 08:51 PMSo cute! We are big sushi fans here by the bay too! It's always the favourite instant meal. Posted by: sally at January 25, 2005 08:52 PMThat's so cute! Hmmm... now I'm thinking of beading some for myself but I don't normally use stitch markers. It will be good gifts for knitters though... thanks for the idea! Posted by: lyn at January 25, 2005 09:16 PMYum! Those are the cutest little stitch markers. I was just trying to figure out what to have for lunch tomorrow, thanks for giving me an idea ;) Posted by: Esther at January 25, 2005 09:33 PMso cute!! and all this talk of sushi is making me quite hungry. I *heart* sushi too! :) Posted by: Lolly at January 26, 2005 07:37 AMI ordered the fortune cookie bracelet and matching earrings. Totally fun...I love them! I have slowly but surely been more adventurous with my sushi eating. It used to be that I couldn't do anything but California rolls, but I'm trying branching out now... And now I'm hungry... :) oooh I love sushi!!! fresh fields...that is og annandale for me!! back in the day when I lived in VA!!! Posted by: heather at January 26, 2005 12:57 PMCool, froggy! I was looking at those the other day (I linked from Brainy Lady's blog). They are so cute, and look just smashing displayed on your knitting. ^_^ I LOOOOOOOVE sushi too! Dave and I would eat it 24 hours a day if we had the access to it(there is sadly nowhere to get it in Stephenville)and the money. Dave asked me if it was weird to like something so much that you fantasize about eating it, even right after you've just finished eating it! haha. Must be love. Those are perhaps the cutest stitch markers in the universe. Posted by: Missy at January 26, 2005 01:03 PMthose are too cute! Posted by: amanda at January 26, 2005 05:51 PMthose are so adorable! gotta have some earrings... And your manos is waay pretty! Posted by: lara at January 27, 2005 04:26 AMmmm, sushi. i keep seeing these markers everywhere i turn. must order some soon. too broke right now though. :) Posted by: erika at January 27, 2005 09:08 AMI totally agree about the Fresh Fields vs Whole Foods thing! When I lived in Virginia, they were all Fresh Fields, but in Boston it was called Bread & Circus, which I liked best. Boo on corporate homogenizing. At least the quality of their sushi hasn't changed! Happy sushi-in' :) Posted by: parikha at January 28, 2005 09:27 AMHi Froggy, your stitch markers are very nice Posted by: Dominique at January 28, 2005 11:32 AMI'm so oldfashioned, never tryed sushi... Gues I'm to provinsional... I don't even know where to get it :) But where there's a will there's a way!! Maybe I could knit some..*LOL* Posted by: hanne at January 29, 2005 03:47 PMAmy's a part of our local SnB group. Aren't those awsome! I love them.... Posted by: Shannon at January 30, 2005 01:47 PMI placed an order as soon as I saw the stitch markers, although I bought the supplies to make my own yesterday. They should be arriving soon. As far as sushi is concerned, I am allergic to all fish, except canned salmon and tuna. Poor me!! Posted by: Loren at February 1, 2005 10:32 AMYou've been "meme-d"! :) See here: http://droppedstitches.blogspot.com . Posted by: parikha at February 1, 2005 09:04 PM |
