I really like how the collar worked out on this bolero and I am most happy with the fact that my mini loves it. As soon as I finished, she indicated that she would be wearing it to school and can't wait to show everyone (awwww!). I'll just do anything to see that smile. I may have to knit another. Actually, I wouldn't mind having one for myself.

Absolutely beautiful!
My Sis in law is pregnant and after wishing for a healthy baby my next wish is it's a girl!! Sugar and spice and all things nice!! Maybe Im biased as it's 2 girls I was blessed with....

Posted by: minxxy at November 13, 2004 03:50 PM

No wonder she loves it ! She looks beautiful in it.

Posted by: Emma at November 13, 2004 04:37 PM

Ooooh Froggy, beautiful work. She looks adorable in it. Great job.

I'm amazed at how fast you churn FO's out.

Posted by: Adele at November 13, 2004 04:39 PM

It looks great. So snuggly. I used Cotton-Ease to make Lola in the Cotton Angora book. I've been looking for the Strawberry Cream color but haven't found it locally. A great sweater and a bargain--two of my favorite things.

Posted by: Jessica at November 13, 2004 04:42 PM

I have to find that Cotton-Ease color!! I love Cotton-Ease (and don't think ASC is much better) and have never seen Strawberry Cream before. Of course mini looks adorable and that smile is the sweetest thing I've seen today.

Posted by: Lauren at November 13, 2004 04:51 PM

That is adorable. Both the weater and Mini of course.

Posted by: claudia at November 13, 2004 04:55 PM

You just astound me! The seaming job on the collar is gorgeous as is the sweater and your mini. I can see why you'd want to knit another to see that smile. Hope you guys have a terrific weekend!

Posted by: Elisa at November 13, 2004 05:00 PM

Just lovely! And, indeed, your mini does have a beautiful smile :)

Posted by: Monica at November 13, 2004 05:03 PM

Sooooo cute! I mean your mini -and her new sweater too. She already goes to school? Which class?

Posted by: Marta at November 13, 2004 05:07 PM

awww, so very very cute! Everytime my daughter sees me knitting she asks "Is it a card?" (that would be cardigan to you and me). There is something so special about a child so happily snuggled up in a beautiful hand knit, made just for them.

Posted by: Jo at November 13, 2004 05:45 PM

Mini looks absolutely gorgeous. I definitely wouldn't be able to resist that smile either!

Posted by: tacha at November 13, 2004 05:52 PM

Beautiful work on the sweater and mini is adorable.

Posted by: lcord at November 13, 2004 06:58 PM

I love the photos. Mini looks soooo cute in Molly. Great color choice too. Yet another book for me to lust after.

Posted by: Jeanine at November 13, 2004 08:28 PM

That may just be the cutest thing ever-- the sweater and your girlie!!

Posted by: Carole at November 13, 2004 08:39 PM

Awwww....SO CUTE! That sweater is awesome too :)

Posted by: Elabeth at November 13, 2004 09:47 PM

Molly looks great - and your Mini looks fab in her! :) I think that is absolutely sweet that she wanted to wear her to school... I am sure that every girl is going to be jealous!

Posted by: Holly at November 13, 2004 10:49 PM

OMGosh - I love it! The model is beautiful to start with, but that collar and the soft pink bring out her beauty even more. A great sweater, and I definitely think you should make one for yourself, too!

Posted by: Anne-Caroline at November 13, 2004 11:19 PM

Goh-ge-ous! And I after recently having had a few sweaters shrugged off small shoulders on first wearing, I know how rare and important that recipient seal of approval is. And I'm sure she'll tell everyone that mommy made it. :) Lovely!

Posted by: mamacate at November 13, 2004 11:52 PM

Oh God that cuuuute! And so cozy lookin'. Makes me wish I was her size so I could snuggle up in it. Lucky girl! :)

Posted by: Alysia at November 13, 2004 11:57 PM

That sweater is just adorable and the mini just gorgeous. Together, what a striking combo!

Posted by: jackie at November 14, 2004 12:00 AM

It's a beautiful sweater, and your little girl looks so adorable in it! :)

Posted by: kerry at November 14, 2004 12:15 AM

Another beautiful addition to your work, Froggy. Gosh, your daughter is so cute! Love the sweater design, it really looks wonderful!

Take care!

Posted by: Lauren at November 14, 2004 12:22 AM

Thank you thank you thank you. I just got this book and love this pattern, but didn't want to invest that much in the yarn - perfect substitution. And of course a beautiful model makes the clothes. Good job mom.

Posted by: Nancy at November 14, 2004 01:03 AM

Good Golly, Miss Molly! That's beautiful! The fit is perfect and you did a wonderful job on this. Your mini can be a model in a Debbie Bliss book! She's so pretty and that smile is too sweet :-)

Posted by: lyn at November 14, 2004 01:20 AM

I love that - it's like a little Lara! Have you got enough yarn left over for Mini's mini? the doll in her arms looks a bit cold. That would be a fun present!

Posted by: Sally at November 14, 2004 01:31 AM

It's very gorgeous - your mini looks delighted with it. Wonderful photographs - what a treasure!

Molly and mini are beautiful. I especially love the smile picture. She looks like a model. You continue to astound me with your productivity and skill. (Especially since you are always so humble about your knitting.)

Posted by: Julia at November 14, 2004 07:45 AM

oh! i love it! your little one must be the most stylish kid in school!

Posted by: shobhana at November 14, 2004 08:41 AM

Your mini is gorgeous in her new bolero. Her 'smile' photo looks like it could have been in the book itself.

Posted by: Lynette at November 14, 2004 09:03 AM

Super cute!!!

Posted by: Tina at November 14, 2004 09:32 AM

Hi ! Molly looks great on your daughter ! I love the colour and collar design. Great work !

Posted by: Eva Shiu at November 14, 2004 10:18 AM

The smile photo has got me grinning myself. What a beautiful garment for a beautiful little girl!

Posted by: peth at November 14, 2004 10:22 AM

Your mini wanting to wear it to school is the greatest compliment! I have to coax my daughter to put on the things I knit for her. But of course if my knitting is half as good as yours, she won't need any coaxing.

Posted by: Siow Chin at November 14, 2004 10:45 AM

The colour, the collar, the model... Just beautiful !!!

Posted by: Bulle at November 14, 2004 11:57 AM

The sweater is gorgeous and looks perfect on Mini. That middle picture of her is so beautiful, I'd just make up a bunch of prints of that with cute frames and give them to family members for Christmas. Gorgeous little girl. I'd probably do pretty much whatever she wanted to get that smile too.

Posted by: Laurie at November 14, 2004 12:12 PM

Ooh, I want one too! Your mini is gorgeous, as always, and Molly is one fabulous cardie. It looks so soft and cozy.

Posted by: alison at November 14, 2004 12:43 PM

So adorable...and I love the turtleneck shurg too. I made Libby (Creazativity) buy the book just so I could drool over the pattern. Thanks so much for the comment on my blog- it gives me warm fuzzies!

Coupla stunners, they are. The 'smile' shot looks like it's right out of the DB catalogue. Lovely work, as always, & a sweet li'l mini.

Posted by: alison at November 14, 2004 10:49 PM

Hi Froggy. Nice to meet you on my weblog and to discover yours. Your work is actually great. I love Molly and the collar too. Your Mini is beautiful and her smile could melt an iceberg down.

Posted by: Val at November 15, 2004 01:40 AM

That is really, really lovely work. I want Molly for myself now. Do you think it would be possible to super-size the pattern? I would also very much like a niece to knit such lovely things for. I have a nephew, who gets his fair share of hand-knit pressies, but I'm not sure his mum would be too happy to see him in Molly, beautiful though she is :)

Posted by: Atropos at November 15, 2004 05:40 AM

What an absolutely comfy and cozy little sweater! It looks perfect on your adorable little girl. I'm particularly enamored with that rounded hem and how the ribbing is worked all around. Lovely work, Your Frogginess!!!!

Cute and cozy - her loving it can't be a surprise; even I would like to have one! I would also like to be as cute as she is, but unfortunalely, my six year-old time is long gone! :-D

Posted by: Kajin at November 15, 2004 11:59 AM

Oh dear...late to the party but that little jacket looks so comfortable and cozy. Very, very nice!

Posted by: margene at November 15, 2004 12:51 PM
