Going where my stash leads me

With almost all of my current projects at or near completion, I can't help but get ahead of myself and think of other projects. I have many books to flip through and find it difficult at times to decide on what to knit next. So I have decided to let my stash lead me. My stash is mostly composed of yarn that was intended for a specific project, so I figure I'll dive into my stash and see where it leads. Hopefully it'll take me to my next cast on.

This has led me to really organize my stash and the process has made old new again. I think it will be easier for me to recall projects/yarn if I try to organize a pictorial view of my yarn and what it is intended for (at least at the moment).

Check it out. I think it will be much easier to refer to this page rather than open my plastic storage bins whenever I want to start a new project with stash in mind.

What a great idea for your future projects! You've picked out some lovely ones and I can't wait to see which one you start next. I'm afraid mine would take up more space than yours has. :-(

Such great projects! I can't wait to see which one you tackle first.

Wow, great idea!

Excellent idea! All of them are great projects. If you are looking for votes on which project to do next, I really like the Cork yarn and Martha or the Rebecca dropped shouler sweater. Don't you just love it when other people tell you what to knit ;)

Dear DOG is that a pile o yarn; Yes that is me in the corner green with envy!

Great organization idea, though. But for me... well the bag o yarn in my is pitifully low at current moment.

and then of course there is that reason why I named my blog Fidgety :)

I had about 17 balls of Cork in Gleam and knit a BF sweater and am now trying to figure out what in the Cork Collection to make myself. It's a weird color, isn't it? Great projects lined up.

Great idea! If you are asking - here's my two cents - make Carla. What a beautiful sweater. And I'm sure it's fast - so instant gratification.

Carla, carla, carla, carla!!! Ok, so make up your own mind-- but I just love that pattern. After I finish the next few projects I'll be knitting up the same Rebecca Cardi that you're seaming together. I'm excited to see it come together.

Very pretty stuff! I say since the winter months are quickly upon us, you should make the Rowan Cork sweater and hat. That one is very nice, and will be perfect for the cold winter! :)

Monica's right. Our projects photos would use up all our bandwidth. :-)

Love the page! What cool yarn choices.
That Wool Cotton is beautiful.

Okay... now I am officially jealous of both your knitting ability AND your yarn-st*sh!!! I vote for the drop shoulder Rebecca sweater in GOA - it looks so snuggly - perfect for Fall. Can't wait to see what you choose!

I love reading your blog... thanks for such great pictures and inspiration! (I just broke my yarn diet because for a week I couldn't stop thinking about that Colinette Flounce Jacket... do you think this counts as early Christmas yet?)
:)

PS: Apparently, the word st*sh is questionable content... I couldn't post until I changed the spelling!

Fantastic stash ! So well organised and thought out. You'll have some great garments soon.
i've noticed that your knitting is getting faster and you're becoming more confident.

You, my dear, have figured out how to make your stash work for you, not weigh you down.

Wow! I'm so impressed by your new stash site idea! I love all of your future projects. I agree that you should make your own Carla...I adore that sweater. I've never knit with Wool Cotton, though, and that could be a very tempting option, too... Guess I'm not very helpful! :)

Wow, your stash is so impressing! So beautiful yarn in so beautiful colours. My favourite ones are the green Cork and the orange Wool Cotton.

That's a very well organised stash! What next?!

That's quite a stash you have there, missy. I salute you.

Love the idea! Thanks for sharing. Most of my yarn purchases are for intended projects - that I never seem to remember when trying to start something new! Thanks.
