Froggy Knits

What I learned ....that I already knew

Last week was not so great knitwise. I decided that I would try concentrating on one knit and see how it is just to work on one item as opposed the many+ that I usually have going. I am so intrigued by those that are able to focus on one knit at a time or even just a couple. And I am always slipping projects onto circs instead of holders and then I can't remember which needles were used since I hardly ever use the suggested needle size. Sometimes I just pick up and knit with the circs noticing quickly that I am knitting with the wrong needles. (I know, I should make notes on my patterns. Knowing is half the battle, right.) So I thought maybe I would try something different.

Well, for me, it was just awful. Most of the time when I had a chance to knit, I just couldn't bring myself to knit on the SAME item that I had JUST knit before. I found myself just picking it up and knitting a row or two (but mostly a row) and then tossing it back in a basket. And I don't think I have ever knitted so little in single sittings. So I guess I don't like concentrating on one knit at a time. Big surprise there....... NOT!

So I have decided to go back to my multi-knit ways. Yeah! Wow, I feel better already! I just may cast on for something else today!

I'm just like you. Even when I have a deadline for a project, I still knit a row or two of something else... It's also a good thing, I understand that working on different projects rests the eye and helps prevent sore wrists.

I totally know how you feel! I get really sick of working on the same thing forever. Sometimes I just need a break :)

I can't do the one project thing either. I feel like I complete more projects this way, it just seems to take longer.

I don't know what is is about having alot of knitting projects going on at the same time. I just can't help myself! Let's see...I have maybe 3 or 5 maybe 6..oh I just can't keep count any more. :-)

Good for you! When I see that I get bored with a project, I set it aside and then start something else.
