June 30, 2004Miss Bea's Ting-A-Ling CardiganAfter finishing Tinkerbell, I had left over pink and purple and my mini requested the Ting-A-Ling Cardigan. She later requested that I reverse the colors so I thought no problem. Consider it done. Well, its done alright. When I originally said yes I must have thought that I had a few pink skeins and at least one purple. Well the reality is, I have one pink and a few purple, which you can see from the photo, is all knit up. That would have been enough to knit the sweater as photographed. I have checked all of my local cotton-ease sources and there is none to be found. So I guess it was over before it began. I do love the ruffle though. Comments
I love the ruffle, too? Stripes, perhaps? Or is that too busy? Posted by: julia at June 30, 2004 06:18 PMOh, don't frog! It's too cute to be frogged. It's so darling! That ruffle is gorgeous! I've been eyeing that pattern as well - good luck in finding some more pink, it's too lovely to stop! Posted by: Anita at July 1, 2004 05:14 AMOh no! Wait and see if you can get some more yarn before you rip though. I like the ruffle too. Posted by: jen at July 1, 2004 05:23 AMDon't rip yet! Check your email. :) And, again I have to say, you're so quick. Posted by: Lynette at July 1, 2004 11:41 AMNo, no! Don't rip. I'm sure you'll find some Cotton Ease in the colors you need. The colors reversed are more darling than the original. Mini has good taste! Posted by: Becky at July 1, 2004 03:08 PMDo I hear the sound of a Ting-A-Ling A-long? I would almost join that one just for the name. :) Posted by: Rona at July 1, 2004 03:26 PMYou can get Cotton-Ease at e-yarn.com (http://pages.lionbrand.com/6030/InventoryPage/1470516/1.html). I'm lovin' the ruffle, too. Very, very cute. Posted by: Mindy at July 1, 2004 03:33 PMAwww...I agree with everyone else...you can't frog that ruffle! It's positively perfect!
