Miss Bea's Windmill Cardigan

This is the Windmill Cardigan from Miss Bea's Colours. I love the hearts in the pattern which gives a little design without the effort of intarsia despite the fact that mine are more heartlike than actual hearts as in the pattern. I think its due to the fact that my knit tension differs from my purl tension. I need to figure out exactly so I can use two different needle sizes to remedy the tension problem. Wow, use two different needles on purpose, that will be a switch. I do that all the time now. However, not in a way that would help my knitting, LOL!

This will be my first button band too. Lookin' forward to it. I have the back on a holder for neck shaping 'cause I am determined not to walk up and across the ladder again. Better look in my reference books soon or I am going to run outta holders.

Oh Froggy...You are just such a sweetie...Yes, I just read yesterday's post.

I think the little hearts look great. It so full to have great details without the bother of a million colors of yarn all turning into knots. The mini will look great her new Heartie...

I love those hearts, what a great idea for a border!

It looks so nice. You must be the most prolific knitter around! I'm impressed.

Your hearts are perfect! And I'm a little late, but WOWZA! Kate is great, and it looks drop-dead sexy on you. :)

Love the little hearts - it's a great cardigan. I've only ever done the two different needle size thing by accident...

I have the same problem -- my tension's a lot looser when I purl, and with some yarns, I end up with a definite ridge in stockinette. Putting a different size needle at either end of the cable with my Denise interchangables does the trick for me.
