March 23, 2004QuackI had just enough yarn to finish them and a lit' bit left over for my knitting journal sample (and I mean a little). ![]() Project Specs: Pattern: 50 baby bootees to knit by Zoe Mellor (pg. 65) Now, would I knit these again? Yes! Fun and fast to knit, however next time I will make the cuff entirely in orange. And if I got along better with size 3 double points, I would rip and do the same for these, but I am pressed for time and must move on as I have many projects anxious to get off those needles.

Too cute! Those little Zoe Mellor bootees are the most adorable things. Great job. Love the trim at the bottom! Posted by: alison at March 23, 2004 02:34 PMThanks so much for the kind words on my Kyoto!!! That was actually the first sweater I've ever made, so it's nice to hear a stranger say it looks good. Good luck with yours, I hope you enjoy knitting yours as much as I did mine. Too, too sweet. I love the idea of a baby with duck feet! Posted by: Mindy at March 23, 2004 03:49 PMAdorable! I've had my eye on that book forever...not that I have a baby of my own to knit for, though... Posted by: Clara at March 23, 2004 04:05 PMForget the babies, I want those in a ladies size 6! How hilarious would those be around the house... Posted by: Silvia at March 23, 2004 07:32 PMOh Froggy those are so sweet...I'm sure the little quacker will luv 'em... Posted by: Georgia at March 24, 2004 12:43 AMWhat a great pair of duck feet! That Sirdar looks like it makes some nice, soft booties. Posted by: Becky at March 24, 2004 02:36 AMThey look fantastic! So glad that you had enough yarn left over. They were the first booties I made from that book and I went on to make lots more, they are so quick and easy and fun. Posted by: kerrie at March 24, 2004 05:00 AMI've been looking for this yarn for about 2 months. I've started an afghan which I can't finish because I only bought about 12 skeins and now I need about 8 more skeins of Sirdar's Calypso DK Pure Cotton #683 Yellow. Would you please advise me where you purchased this. Posted by: Isab at May 3, 2004 01:18 AMThese are amazingly cute! I may have to make these for a friend of mine who is having a baby. Luckily, she's not due for a very long time. Posted by: amy at June 4, 2004 07:32 PM |
