March 21, 2004Reversible Tank?Size 5 needles. That would be two size 5 needles. Made some progress on the Mission Falls Reversible Tank that will no longer be reversible as my daughter has indicated that she would like the back to be pink as well. I am disappointed. I thought that was such a great idea. That's what I get for asking if she would like it to be green. Especially when I had already decided that it would be green. However, I did ask her opinion and must now take that into consideration. The days of expecting an affirmative answer to my suggestions are obviously over. I have lost the "oh that would be great!" that usually preceded her answers. Oh well, lol.
![]() I have never worked with eyelets before and I love them. It's amazing what they can do to a simple stockinette stitch tank. I love that detail. And I received a very big "oh, I like those" once my mini could tell what I was doing. I am really enjoying this pattern and definitely see more tanks in my knitting future. Thanks Kerrie for the great pattern and also for the hope that I will be able to finish my duckies. I will be picking them up again tonight. And thanks fluffa, I will definitely try that design element if I run out. I will, however, be trying that on my next duckies though, just because I like the idea of making the cuff of the booties totally in orange. I think that will work well with the orange stitching. Hopefully, more on duckies tomorrow as the shower is getting closer and I am having visions of an oatmeal hat and botties now. As it turns out, some oatmeal yarn in my stash has been calling out lately and this would be a really nice home for it. Posted by froggy at March 21, 2004 11:59 PMComments
Oh no, another child with an opinion! Its frustrating to ask them a question when you already know what you want the answer to be isn't it? Your tank looks great though, I love that colour and it will look great pink both sides. Maybe you can make her another one that is 2 coloured.. Posted by: kerrie at March 22, 2004 04:23 AMChildren always want the opposite of what you want, don't they? I've thought about making that tank for my niece. I will definitely have to resize it....better go take a look at that pattern again. BTW the duckies are just too cute! Posted by: sharlyn at March 22, 2004 12:36 PMThank god I don't have to contend with opinions yet! He wears what I put on him, and that's that. The tank is too, too adorable. Maybe you could sell her on the idea of 2 different shades of pink? I want to make one for myself now. Nooo! No more spring projects! Nooo! Love the duck booties, too.
