March 20, 2004If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duckFrom the front, it could be a duck. ![]() From the side, it could be a duck. ![]() But do I have enough yarn to make a duck? I must say that I am a little nervous that I will not have enough yarn to finish these. I have a single ball of yarn that has a tad less yardage than the recommended yarn in the pattern. At this point I am going to place these stitches on a holder and work from the other end of the ball. I have the sole and upper foot of both completed. It is just the cuff that is currently in question. They are to have 26 rows of ribbing, but I figure if I just make sure they both have the same amount of ribbing, I can then add orange as a decorative accent for the remaining rows. I am only 6 rows shy on the first cuff. Hopefully I can get at least 20 rows on the second cuff. What I am saying? I hope I can finish both cuffs completely with the rest of the ball. Wish me luck.

Good luck! Great idea to use another contrast color for the cuffs. If you do run out of yarn, why not rip out the cuffs and do them in another color altogether? Maybe orange? Good luck with the yarn amounts... Posted by: kerrie at March 21, 2004 05:20 AMHope you have enough yarn, but I think the orange could also be a super cute accent. I love that booties book. So many cute ideas... Posted by: Georgia at March 22, 2004 12:43 AM |
