March 15, 2004Too Wide, MaybeI laid out my loosest fitting pants and it appears that I underestimated the width of my no sweat pants. I opted not to include the decreases that Alison incorporated, because I thought it wasn't looking loose enough for my size. Boy, was I wrong. Looks like a redo. Oh well. I must say even though I didn't officially join Alison's rip-a-long, it did inspire me to rip many projects and it was quite empowering. I now believe I am stronger than a knit stitch. The stitch can't take me out, but I definitely can take it out if I want to. So here we go from this: ![]() to this: ![]() I also took a little off the pant legs. They were lookin' a little long. Good thing you don't mind froggin'. At this point I would be crying and my project would never again see the light if day!!! Good Luck! Posted by: georgia at March 16, 2004 03:15 PMCan't wait to see your finished pants! They look great so far! I love Wool-Ease Chunky...I think for the price, Lion Brand is great yarn. Posted by: Carrie at March 17, 2004 01:56 PMAlright, ripping! ;0) It's strange that the pants stay so wide at the top. I think that decreases really improve the fit. Best of luck with the reknitting!
