March 26, 2004Turtleneck Egg CoziesI love these egg cozies from Weekend Knitting by Melanie Falick. I made the one the left according to the pattern specs. But, I made the sleeves a tad bit longer on the yellow cozy to accommodate Barbie's long arms. These were so fun to knit and my daughter loves them. I will definitely be making more of these as she has already indicated that she wants many of them to add to her doll's dress up box. ![]() Hope I can peddle these off as my 2nd and 3rd FO's for the I have been trying to finish these for a while. They have been just floating around in my knitting bag. I think I have a green cozy that I started around here somewhere. I will have to try to find and finish that one, too. These little guys are a great way to use up little bits of stash. First, I have to pick up my no-sweat pants and gather my other UFO's for the Spring Knit-Up. But also on the agenda for the weekend... ![]()

they are cute! Remind me not to show them to Brooek otherwise I'll be forced to make some for her Barbies. Not that they wear clothes very often but I know that she would love those.. Posted by: kerrie at March 26, 2004 10:08 AMoooooo you get to go to knit happens!! i'm completely consumed with jealousy!!!! Posted by: carolyn at March 26, 2004 12:50 PMCute little sweaters. Barbie is lucky to have such stylish handmade sweaters! Posted by: Clara at March 26, 2004 01:57 PMLooks like your cozy mannequins need no-sweat pants next!! hee hee. Well, maybe we'll bump into you at KH. I'll be the one spending my mortgage money on yarn that won't get made up for at least a year! To assuage the guilt slightly, I'll probably get some needles, and some patterns. Ooh, do you know if they have "Rebecca"? Posted by: Laura at March 26, 2004 05:40 PMYEAH! Liz and I are giggling to see our postcard on your site....can't wait to see you tomorrow! And no Rebecca yet, sorry Laura! :) K&L Posted by: Kristine & Liz at March 26, 2004 09:41 PMI've made so many of those little egg cosies too already, I had a few for X-mas decorations.
